Industrial processes do not always draw gas at a steady rate. When consumption rises, falls or cycles rapidly, the gas mixing system must maintain the required mixture while responding to changing demand.
WITT’s redesigned MG 500 is built for high consumption applications where mixture consistency and process reliability matter. Depending on the pressure conditions, it can provide mixed gas flow rates of up to 600 Nm³/h. Used with a buffer tank, it can maintain a reproducible mixture even when withdrawal rates change quickly.
The MG 500 is available with a mechanical proportional mixing valve for defined adjustment ranges of up to 25%. For applications requiring a wider adjustment range, WITT offers the ERC+ version with an electronic mixing valve. This extends the range to up to 95% and allows operation through a touchscreen or a higher-level control system.
The ERC+ version is designed to hold its valve position during sudden changes in downstream pressure. It also retains the selected position when switched off, helping the system return to the required mixture on restart. A manual operating option provides an additional means of maintaining supply if power or the drive fails.
Available monitoring functions include pressure and temperature measurement, alarms and automatic shutdown. An optional gas analyser can provide continuous mixture monitoring and support process documentation. Connection options allow the ERC+ system to integrate with existing control environments.
For Australian businesses assessing a new gas mixing system or reviewing an existing process, SGTA can help determine which MG 500 configuration suits the gases, flow demand and control requirements of the application.
